Hello
Everyone,
Well here we are back in 2007 and it is March already!
We have just been so busy since the Christmas break and e-mails
from all over the world with enquiries about Hospitals, Doctors
and many other health related matters.
We are now entered our 6th year on the Internet and with our
Directories proving more and more popular each month.
We do however wish to remind people we cannot obtain personal
particulars from any Doctors, Pathology or X-Ray's owing to
Australia's privacy rules. You need to contact them direct yourself.
Also a little warning - Please
be aware there are a lot of non-genuine people on the Internet
selling many things including drugs and vitamins. Beware of
mail order and we recommend you always purchase from your Pharmacist
or Vitamin Shop or any well known supplier.
A Business who wishes to advertise on our site has to provide
their ABN number as well as a contact business address. That
is a pre-requisite of a listing with us and helps to ensure
that most are genuine. However Doctors4U® is not responsible
for any liability arising directly or indirectly from the use
of any of these pages or directories or any of its links or
listings. We urge everyone using this site and all its Directories
and links, including links to other sites to exercise their
own informed judgment in the selection of medical care and other
choices.
Last year we included Doctors Bulk
billing for every Capital City as well as Cairns,
the Gold Coast, Hobart & Launceston and this has proved
to be a popular addition. We ask any Doctors who are not in
our list to please contact us with their details for a FREE
listing. This is yet another Service
Doctors4U® provides for FREE!
Suicide: Back in November
we placed a link to an article about suicide on our main Home
page regarding young students and the warning issued by POLICE.
They issued a warning to parents to supervise and monitor their
children's use of the internet and gadgets like mobile phones.
It was reported that there had been at least three suicides
by students who attended two secondary schools in the eastern
suburbs of Adelaide.
As this is the beginning of a new year and this is just so important
we have left the article on the main Home page and we also provide
a link here because
we feel parent's need to be aware of what has been happening
or can happen.
We have had many enquiries from overseas Health Professionals
looking for employment in Australia and we wish to remind any
one who is looking that there are direct links on our main home
page. There you can apply and have many of your questions answered.
Remember, we are a listing service only and cannot provide the
finer details many of you are seeking.

We
posted the following last month, however we feel this warning
is important especially as it's Christmas and some parent's
may have missed it.
Now for parents of children this is a warning from our Minister
for Fair Trading regarding
the dangers associated with toys containing small magnetic parts,
which could lead to death!
And especially with Christmas almost here parents, carers and
the like should be made aware of these hidden dangers so they
can be on the lookout for such toys.
Magnet
misuse causing medical mayhem
Minister for Fair Trading Margaret Keech has warned parents
to be aware of the dangers associated with toys containing small
magnetic parts. "Popular magnetic building sets have been
linked to injuries and deaths here and overseas," Mrs Keech
said.
"Each set can have more than 100 magnetic rods and balls
that are quite
small, making them easy for children to swallow. "Magnets
pose a very serious risk and if swallowed can cause horrific
injuries.
"If two or more magnets are swallowed, they can attract
each other in
the intestine and cause serious internal damage which requires
immediate
corrective surgery.
"Toys with magnetic parts should
be considered carefully and parents
are urged to follow age recommendations on product labels when
buying
any toy.
"Parents should also supervise their child during playtime
to minimise
the chances of a serious or even fatal injury.

safety contact the Office of Fair
Trading on 13 13 04 or visit www.fairtrading.qld.gov.au
We have been receiving many enquiries from people overseas seeking
work in Hospitals as well as Pathology and X-Ray. Enquiries
have also been received from Doctors in Pakistan, India, England

Hello Everyone,
Welcome to our Public Notice Board once again.
My how the time soon passes. November here now and Christmas
only a few weeks away and then another year gone!
We are fast approaching 5 years continuous service on the Internet
with our Doctors4U®
Medical
Directories and it only seems like yesterday when we first commenced.
We have recently received a great boost with the release of
new white pages and yellow pages on the Internet because the
public are having just so much difficulty in finding a doctor
or medical centre and the compliments we are receiving for being
there, and providing such a wonderful service with our easy
to find Directories has been phenomenal. Thank you all so much
for your wonderful positive feedback.
We have been receiving enquiries from all over as usual with
many from forthcoming overseas visitors who are looking for
Medical facilities from Cat scans to Plastic Surgery.
My apologies for the delay with this month's notice board, however
things have happened which were beyond my control. I was rushed
to hospital in the early hours one morning with violent pains
in my stomach and chest. I naturally thought it was a heart
attack as did the Medical Staff at the Accident & Emergency.
However it later turned out to be a gall bladder attack that
necessitated the removal of the gall bladder some days later.
All in all I was in hospital for some 10 days and I still have
not fully recovered.
Thank
God for Private Health Insurance as I was able to have the Doctors
of my choice, plus a private room and other much needed facilities.
No doubt there will be some huge gaps to pay when all the accounts
come in. I am waiting with baited breath as the saying goes.
However, it does make one realise though we only need one decent
claim and we have recouped a good portion of the money we have
paid over the years.
Now for parents of children this is
a warning from our Minister for Fair Trading
regarding the dangers associated with toys containing
small magnetic parts, which could lead to death!
And especially with Christmas almost here parents, carers and
the like should be made aware of these hidden dangers so they

November 1, 2006.
Hello
Everyone,
Welcome
to our public Notice Board for the month of September, 2006.
Here we are again with the latest happenings at Doctors4U®.
As usual we have received some very positive feedback about our
Medical Directories with praise coming from all directions. The
most common one being " Far better than white or even yellow
pages." And we must agree! Some Doctors are listed in yellow
and then not in white and vice versa. So how is the public going
to find them? Only with the help of our Directories of course!
And my how we are appreciated. Thank you all so much for that
positive feedback telling us just that.
And speaking of white & yellow pages has any one seen either
of them on the Internet recently? Obviously both have had a huge
makeover at what I would assume tremendous cost. Yet from our
feedback people still can't find who or what they are looking
for! And the money they charge for being in Yellow! I'll say no
more on that score. It makes our little charges pale into insignificance!
We can see, without a doubt why people much prefer our Directories.
One
person told us he had searched for over 1/2 hour and still couldn't
find the Doctor he was looking for without wading though at least
a 100 others at a time. We are just so delighted at the massive
response and hits our Directories are receiving daily and with
the help it has and is giving to so many. It makes us feel awesome
because it causes us to realise just how much we are needed!
We
are continuing to receive e-mails from all over. Even from Russia
this week as well as Shanghai. So when we say we are being seen
all over the world never a truer word was said!
Diabetes is in the news this week so here are a few links
that may be of help and we feel well worth looking at. They
are nearly all wonderful Government sites provided with compliments

Hello Everyone,
Apologies once again to our usual viewers of this Notice board
as well as to the many new ones. I have had one hectic month with
my Dad passing away at 98 years of age which took me interstate
at very short notice for a few days. I tried to pass the Board
over however I couldn't find any takers. Too busy with other work
I was told.
As usual we are receiving e-mails from all over with many overseas
travellers looking for Doctors to see on their visit to Australia.
Recently we have added a direct link from our main Directory page
to a site named Cancer Facts. This is an American site however
we feel it is a wonderful source of information for Cancer patients
as well as for their family and friends. It appears to cover all
types of cancers. The site was a winner in 2000 & again in
2004! And we feel it is a winner as well. So if you would like
to have a look at this wonderful site please Click
here
Closer
to home and still speaking of cancer we have included an article
from Channel 9 Wednesday June 7, 2006 by Sheryl Taylor National
Nine News medical reporter about a 6 monthly injection for Prostate
Cancer and the article can be seen here
After
reading the article if you wish to seek further information
you can go to Australia's Prostate Cancer site by clicking

We especially thank Channel 9 News and ACA for this article.
It is wonderful to have such a Channel bringing such important
and interesting news to us all.
There are still many vacancies for Doctors and other Health
Professionals in Queensland to mention our home state - We do
have links on our main Directory Home page however, to see the
Queensland vacancies please Click

Hello
Everyone,
Apologies for the delay with the Notice board but we have just
been so busy with our Directories with many Health professionals
wanting to join, e-mails from all over, even as far away as
Iran, and with updating etc., our poor old Notice Board has
to go to the end of the list.
We
have had some wonderful feedback about our Directories with
praise coming from all directions. Praise from Tourists visiting
our wonderful country with comments such as - " Keep up
the good work - Great site - Such a help to us - Love it, far
better than Yellow pages and more." We are naturally delighted
with all the praise and this all helps to make our job easier
knowing we are appreciated.
Speaking of tourists, we don't realise just how many have their
computers with them and how much they rely on the local information
from the Internet. We are happy to help where we can and many
have enquired about Chemists after hours and yes
we are hoping to have listings for every Capital City in the
near future. This will depend of course on the Chemists supporting
us in our efforts.
Many of those tourists on the road are often looking for public
toilets and the Federal Government have seen fit to fund a Toilet
Web site which I feel is fantastic, not only for tourists but
for our Australian travellers alike. Clicking
here can access the site and it covers every
State of Australia. It includes all facilities such as wheel
chair access and opening hours.
We are also receiving many enquiries about vacancies for Doctors
and other Health Professionals. We do have some links on our
main Home page. To see the Queensland vacancies please Click
here
Health Insight another Goverment web site provides a
free newsletter on many health topics every month. We have found
them to be most interesting and informative. You can see past
issues or you may subscribe to their newsletter by Clicking
here
Our
thoughts and prayers are with little Sophie and her parents
once more. Just wonderful news to hear and see on the news that
she squeezed her Dad's hand. Let's hope she continues to improve
and will be home again before too long.
Also
fantastic to see the 2 miners walk out from the mine at Beaconsfield
last Tuesday after being trapped underground for 14 nights.
A special tribute to their rescuers who worked so professionally
under such demanding conditions. All special people.

Hello
Everyone,
Well here we are back with our Notice Board. Apologies for the
lateness however we have been just so busy since the holidays
with quite a bit of catching up to do.
Firstly our thoughts and prayers are with our fellow Australians
in North Queensland and to all the wonderful helpers and volunteers.
It certainly does your heart good to see and hear of the good
Samaritans and see the wonderful things that are being done
to help the less fortunate in this time of need. You do us all
proud! Thank you each and everyone of you! I also feel sure
that Major General Peter Cosgrove (Retired) will be a tremendous
help in organising the many things that have to be done to get
things back to normality.
If you would like to donate to the Official Cyclone Appeal
launched by Premier Beattie you may donate
by telephoning 1800 150 411 or at any Branch of the Commonwealth
Bank.
Whilst
speaking of the wonderful helpers & volunteers I feel I
must pay a special tribute to all the fire fighters in other
states, and the tremendous job done by them during the holidays
in fighting those terrible fires. Unfortunately some lost their
lives in the course of helping others and we would like to pay
a tribute to them. They are all "Special People"
And of course we must remember those Men & Women in the
Armed Forces serving overseas and recognise them for their services
and the wonderful job they are doing in the various parts of
the world.
And last but not least to all our fabulous Sports people for
their fine achievements in the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
We are continually receiving e-mails from overseas Doctors
wanting employment. Remember, on our main home page we have
two links two assist overseas Doctors with information -
Firstly the Government link here
and Recruit A Doc here
And
of course Queensland is in desperate need of Doctors and has
many vacancies for Doctors and other Health Professionals!
Anyone interested please

Now here is a copy of an e-mail we received with some very
important information
about "Cruise Control" on your car:
"NEVER
KNEW THIS BEFORE I wonder how many people know about this?
A 36-year-old female had an accident several weeks ago and totalled
her car. A resident of Wollongong, NSW, she was travelling between
Wollongong & Sydney. It was raining, though not excessively,
when her car suddenly began to hydroplane and literally flew
through the air. She was not seriously injured but very stunned
at the sudden occurrence! When she explained to the highway
patrolman what had happened, he told her something that every
driver should know -
NEVER DRIVE IN THE RAIN WITH YOUR CRUISE CONTROL ON.
She had thought she was being cautious by setting the cruise
control and maintaining a safe consistent speed in the rain.
But the Highway Patrolman told her that if the cruise control
is on and your car begins to hydroplane -- when your tyres lose
contact with the pavement, your car will accelerate to a higher
rate of speed and you take off like an airplane.
She told the patrolman that was exactly what had occurred. The
Highway Patrol estimated her car was actually travelling through
the air at 10 to 15 miles per hour faster than the speed set
on the cruise control. The patrolman said this warning should
be listed, on the driver's seat sun-visor - NEVER USE
THE CRUISE CONTROL WHEN THE PAVEMENT IS WET OR ICY,
along with the airbag warning.
We tell our teenagers to set the cruise control and drive a
safe speed - but we don't tell them to use the cruise control
only when the pavement is dry. The only person the accident
victim found, who knew this (besides the patrolman), was a man
who had had a similar accident, totalled his car and sustained
severe injuries. If you send this to 15 people and only one
of them doesn't know about this, then it was all worth it. You
might have saved a life."
We
feel this is important information and we thank the
sender for bringing it to our notice. Please feel free
to copy this posting and send it to as many people as
you can because if it helps to save one life your efforts have
been worthwhile.
This information has been brought to you with the compliments

Wednesday
December 7. 2005.
Hello again everyone,
Here we are with our last update for 2005! There will be no
more updates til early in 2006 because our Office staff are
going to have a well earned break. They will be off until
the second week in January. Our offices will be closing on
Christmas Eve and re-opening on Monday January 16, 2006 at
10am EST! However, you will still be able to contact us via
email at
info@doctors-4u.com
7 days a week plus our fax at 075571 1505. If any one would
like a directory listing during this time please feel free
to email us as all emails will be checked 3 times a day to
ensure the continuation of our personalised service and we
have our Web master on call.
What's been happening since our last post? Heaps and heaps
of e-mails from all over. Mails from England, Netherlands,
America, Africa and Canada just to mention a few. To all those
tourists visiting Australia over the holidays and in the future
a special thank you for your words of praise after seeing
our site. It doesn't matter where you are in the world today
our Directories are there to assist you!
As
we enter 4 years of being on the World Wide Web we have had
many thousands of visitors to our Directories with the hits
increasing every day. Last year as a result of our site being
seen in British Columbia we were able to locate the owner
of some lost property - I did mention this on an earlier posting
however I mention it again for the benefit of those who may
not have seen it.
This is an indication of how our site is being found and how
it is helping others.
Some Australians from the Gold Coast visited British Columbia
over 12 months ago and on leaving they left a bag containing
personal items. It was later discovered by the cleaning lady
and put away in a cupboard. Then the condo owner, some months
later discovered the bag and had no idea how to locate the
owner. Then what - he discovered our site, emailed us with
details of articles in the bag etc. and we in turn after some
phone calls and enquiries have been able to contact the owners
of the bag! Just shows how wonderful the Internet can be.
And we were so pleased to be able to help!
We have also managed to track down various Doctors for their
overseas friends and help travellers with their closest Doctor
and Pharmacy information while they are visiting our shores.
We even had an e-mail from Africa from people who are visiting
for Christmas with their young son who recently broke his
arm and will need medical attention while they are here. We
were able to steer them in the right direction.
As
a result of public demand during the year, we were delighted
to include Doctors Bulk billing for every Capital City as
well as Cairns, the Gold Coast & Launceston. This is proving
to be yet another important feature of Doctors4U®.
Many
e-mails from overseas Doctors wanting employment. Remember,
on our main home page we have two links two assist overseas
Doctors with information -
firstly the Government link here
and Recruit A Doc here
And
of course Queensland is has vacancies for Doctors and other

Thank
you to all our Subscribers and all those wonderful Doctors
and other Health Professionals who supported us in 2005 and
we look forward to your continued support again in 2006! Without
your support we would not be able to continue to provide such
important and helpful Internet Medical Directories.
We also look forward to assisting you again in 2006! Remember,
we are happy to continue to support you with FREE basic listings
and if we can help in any other way - we are here!
Because we care!
Doctors4U® now bringing your Doctor to the Net and providing

others on the Internet. The Internet - The way of the future!
Next
time I post here will be 2006! So to everyone, a
Special Happy Christmas and a wonderful prosperous and healthy
New Year from us all at Doctors4U®.

Hello
Everyone,
Here I am with my monthly posting again from Doctors4U®
and still dreadful things happening all over the world. Since
my last posting another Hurricane in America plus a Tornado!
Dreadful bombings in India and so the list goes on.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those all who suffered
loss and trauma as a result.
There just seems no end to it all and here
at home floods in Adelaide.
Let's
hope and pray that the next month is going to be better than
the last and with Christmas fast approaching we pray for peace
on earth and goodwill to ALL men!
Remember,
if you wish to make a donation to help any of the victims of
the above catastrophe's please make sure you donate to a reputable
organisation and as i said last month please look out for scams. We
have a direct link to the Australian Red Cross from
here and also on our main index page.
Speaking
of scams - how about a computer virus named bird flu or avian
virus! Be careful they are circulating and of course so many
of us on seeing the heading the first thing we do is open our
e-mail to see what it is!
This is a warning that came to us from SecurityProNews and we
pass it onto you for your information. And we sincerely thank
SecurityProNews for this important warning.
"Panda
reports the macro Trojan looks like a Word file and drops a
Trojan virus called Ranky.FY. It can be spotted by subject lines
like "Outbreaks in North America" or "What is
avian influenza (bird flu)? It can also create, delete or modify
files. The whole purpose of Naiva.A isn't to spread like some.
It won't hit other Word files. It exists only to drop Ranky.FY.
Methods
of transmission are the usual suspects: email,
If
your computer gets infected, the potential nastiness begins.
Hackers can access your computer to send spam, squeeze websites
for money and crash the sites too. None of this is terribly
original but it still gets the job done.
If
you think infection has occurred, make sure your antivirus definitions
are updated. Most of the anti-virus software should offer you
the option to delete the virus.
Make
sure your computer doesn't get infected by utilizing some common
sense steps. First, don't open emails and files from untrusted

ICE - can your loved ones be contacted quickly?
In the wake of the recent terrorist attacks in Central London,
emergency services highlighted the need for rapid access to
friends and relatives. One possible method is an easily found
emergency contact listed in your mobile phone, ICE - In Case
of Emergency.
A campaign encouraging people to enter an emergency contact
number in their mobile phone's memory under the heading ICE
(In Case of Emergency), has rapidly spread throughout the world
as a particular consequence of last week's terrorist attacks
in London.
Originally established as a nation-wide campaign in the UK,
ICE allows paramedics or police to be able to contact a designated
relative / next-of-kin in an emergency situation.
Australia's Telstra Consumer and Marketing Group Managing Director,
Mr David Moffatt said ICE was simple and could make a positive
difference in difficult times.
"Mobile phone users simply enter the acronym ICE - for
In Case of Emergency - into their mobile's address book and
list the name and number of the person they want to be contacted
in an emergency.
It
could be a family member, close friend or even their doctor.
Having ICE in your mobile phone may make it quicker and easier
for emergency services workers or passers by to get in contact
with someone you want and who can help with vital information.
Ideally
your ICE contact should know your basic medical information,
such as blood type and allergies and be able to help emergency
services make decisions if needed. You could also store your
blood type under your ICE entry.
While
we don't recommend people ever rely solely on a mobile during
emergencies, mobile phones may provide the vital connection
when people need it most - in times of accidents and emergencies
- and Telstra is pleased to support ICE awarenessto to help
contribute to the wellbeing of Australians, " Mr Moffatt
said."
We thank Geekzone.co/nz
for this article and their full article may be seen by Clicking
here
and we sincerely endorse Telstra's support.
We feel this is a marvellous idea and with the recent happenings
here in Australia we urge everyone with a mobile phone to insert
all their details as mentioned above.

Hello Everyone,
Here I am with my monthly posting again from Doctors4U®.
Dreadful things happening all over the world since my last posting.
Hurricane in America, Bali bombings and then the horrific earthquake
with thousands dead.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those all who suffered loss
and trauma as a result. And we must also spare a thought for all
those wonderful helpers, and volunteers for their task ahead.
Remember, if you wish to donate be sure you do so to a reputable
body or organisation and watch out for scams. We have placed a
direct link to the Australian Red Cross from
here and also on our main index page. Our Prime Minister John
Howard has offered financial assistance with more possibly forthcoming
after today's Cabinet meeting.
Last month we mentioned scams and you can read about what we had
to say by Clicking here
As usual we have had e-mails from all over with many people enquiring
about Doctors and in particular from our overseas friends - many
enquiring about plastic surgeons.
Also please remember, if you have gone overseas and require your
medical records we cannot obtain them for you. We are not permitted
on account of our privacy laws. You have to contact your Doctor
yourself.

Hurricane
Katrina Scams!
Please be on the look out for them!
We received the following
in a Security Pro News, Newsletter. We feel it important that
people be made aware of these scams and urge people to be cautious
when donating money for this disaster.
You can donate on our Doctors4U® Home page where you will
find a direct link to the Australian Red Cross who are working
in conjunction with Red Cross overseas. We also urge you to
be on the look out for e-mails purporting to be from recognised
charities.
Now for the report from Security News:
"Many
call Hurricane Katrina one of the greatest disasters, natural
or otherwise, in the history of the United States. Unfortunately,
in any disaster, a few unique and special people come along
to take advantage of people's good nature and scam them. While
some might suggest these scammers need to drink some of the
toxic sludge being pumped out of New Orleans, unsuspecting people
need to be aware and protect themselves against these criminals.
It's
making a horrible situation worse and the FBI has already begun
investigating the issue but the problem is still there. Web
sites are being set up not only to pose as online charities
but phony emails are being distributed along with the worms
and viruses they carry.
An
alert issued last week by the National
Cyber Security Alliance covers some important points that
all online users need to be aware of and guard against. They
provide a number of tips:
--Do not respond to any unsolicited SPAM/incoming e-mails
about the Hurricane -- Be skeptical of individuals claiming
to be surviving victims asking for money to be placed in bank
accounts
--
To ensure that contributions to U.S.-based non-profit organizations
are used for intended purposes, go directly to the Web sites
of recognized charities and aid organizations, as opposed to
following a link to another site
--
Verify the legitimacy of non-profit organizations by consulting
trusted Internet-based resources (such as the Network for Good
and the Federal Emergency Management Agency) which may assist
in confirming the existence of the organization as well as its
non-profit status
--
Don't open e-mail attachments that claim to contain pictures
of disaster areas, as the files may contain viruses. Only open
attachments from known senders."
Please
be on the lookout for these scams. We thank SecurityProNews
for this very important notice. Any one can subscribe to their
News letters by simply sending an email request to: support@ientry.com
Everyone,
stay safe, take care and good health.

Hello Everyone,
Here I am with my monthly posting and news from Doctors4U®!
Our staff all over the flu and ready for another extremely busy
month ahead.
I
feel before going any further I must mention the storms in America.
Last month it was the dreadful bombings in the UK. And now this
month the hurricane in New Orleans. Our heartfelt thoughts are
with all those all who suffered loss and trauma as a result.
And our prayers and thoughts are with every one affected. Like
the UK we often receive e-mails from people in the States who
see our directories on the Internet so naturally we feel a closeness
to them.
Yes we receive much e-mail from all over the globe and still
averaging 300 plus daily.
Any one wishing to donate for the victims of the hurricane can
do so through Australian Red Cross by Clicking
here or on our main index
page.
Speaking of e-mails I am going to repeat a previous warning
about E-mail scams
because
there are many around. For all those many of you on the Internet
it is important for you to be aware. Watch out for
those Lottery wins and supposed Bank e-mail's and of course
the many Nigerian Scams. We are receiving e-mails nearly every
day advising us that we have won the lottery! So please
- be aware! I know if people who are short of a few
dollars the temptation to give your details in the hope you
may be a lucky winner, is rather tempting.
On e-mails - we have been also receiving many e-mails from overseas
enquiring about Plastic Surgeons.
We
are only a listing service and not permitted to
make recommendations, however we are delighted to say, for the
benefit of those overseas people, as well as locals, we now
have two direct links to Plastic Surgeons on our main pages. The
first one is on the Gold Coast
Doctors site and the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon
is a Dr Craig Layt. You can go to Dr Layt's own Web site direct
from our Gold Coast Doctors Medical
Directory or by Clicking
here to go to Dr Layt's own site.
The
second one is listed on our Sydney
Doctors Medical Directory home page. There you will see
a link to Dr Kourosh Tavakoli, a Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon. You
can go direct to Dr Tavakoli's site by Clicking
here
Remember,
Victoria's Better Health Channel If
you are interested in health topics this site has heaps of information
about various health problems and you can go there by Clicking
here
or clicking on the link on our main index
page.
Now, if you are looking to find out information about your medication
this is a great Government site for reference purposes. Find your
medication here and you can even print out all the details about
side effects etc. The site can be seen on our main index page
or you can go there by Clicking
here
Emergency
Call Systems: · These are Excellent for
Seniors and in particular persons living alone. These systems
are designed to allow a person to call assistance when they may
require it. This is done with the aid of a personal alarm that
the person can wear or carry with them. They are often used in
nursing homes, retirement villages and in particular, the home.
In Australia there is MedicAlert and you can see and read more
about these systems at the MedicAlert Web site by Clicking
here
Remember,
if you have any information which you feel may assist our fellow
Australians please feel free to send it to us with your contact
telephone number and address. Also please note we do not and will
not sell your personal details.

number, let alone their ABN, and expect
people to complete forms disclosing their personal particulars.

we provide a direct contact phone number where most times you
can speak to a staff member direct. We have a registered
office are a registered Trade Marked business. We Strive to please!

Hello Everyone,
Here
I am back again with another posting and dragging my feet yet
again.
We have been just so busy at
Doctors4U®
and short staffed with flu taking its toll on some members.
Always at the change of season every year many are struck down
with the flu. We do have a link on our main index about the
flu viruses for this year so be sure to have a read and consider
having the injection.
Last
month I mentioned I was going to update the board every 3 weeks!
Well after the influx of new business and different other happenings
I have been so busy with data bases and upgrading listings I
have mentioned this to our Manager and he has agreed that I
now only need post here once a month! That is unless there is
something of prime importance that needs to be bought to the
attention of the Community.
I feel before going any further we must mention the dreadful
bombings in the UK. Our heartfelt sympathy and compassion goes
out to all who suffered loss and trauma. This was a dreadful
thing and our prayers and thoughts are with them. We often have
e-mails from people in the UK who see our site out there in
cyber space. Even though we maybe a long way from the UK you
are all still in our thoughts.
We
have had mails from all over again. The Uk and Canada, as well
as various other countries and of course our usual Australian
viewers. Many overseas enquiring about Plastic Surgeons working
in Australia. We have had requests from Insurance Companies overseas
looking for Specialists. It is amazing how small the world has
become with the Internet and so great to know our site is being
seen all over the world. Most importantly we are helping people
from all over. That makes us all feel good at Doctors4U® -
Because we care!
I mentioned the bombings however I feel I must also mention the
scammers are already at it! Beware - there are scammers already
out there asking people for donations to assist the victims.
If you wish to make a donation always ensure it is a reputable
site - like the Red Cross and other well known Australian sites.
We
apologise for the delay in replying to some e-mail enquiries from
time to time however, please understand that our paying clients
have to take precedence. We are averaging 300 plus e-mail's as
well as telephone enquiries every day of the week however we promise
we will get to yours in due course and we thank you for your patience.
Dr Holt has been in the news again after retiring at the
end of June. He will be sadly missed however, according to Ray
Martin of Channel 9's ACA there will be a replacement starting
before the end of the year. We will keep our eyes and ears open
and as soon as we know of or hear any news we will pop it on here
for all to see!
Macular Degeneration: On our main index page we have placed
a link to the Macular Degeneration site. Macular Degeneration
is a problem for many Australians. Be sure to
go and have a look at their site. Click

Depression: Also we have a link to Beyond Blue. Beyond
Blue is an Australian site dealing
with depression and Geoff Kennett the former Premier of Victoria
has recently been on Television talking about this overwhelming
problem and how he is supporting Beyond Blue in their efforts
to help people with depression. You can see the site yourself

Hello
Everyone,
Here
I am back again with the news of what's been happening at Doctors4U®!
Firstly, as from this posting we will now be updating this Board
every three weeks instead of two! The reason being that over
these past few months our business has just grown out of all
proportion and paying customers must take precedence over everything
else. Therefore we feel a three weekly posting will suffice,
that is unless of course something of prime importance needs
to be passed onto you.
Remember, we have facilities for all Doctors as well as
Specialists and Chemists to detail their Services under our
Enlarged Listings for each City and in those areas
they are permitted to detail their services in 250 words
or less. And the listing can be there 24x7 for 12 months
and if they have a Web site we even provide a direct link
to their site for FREE!
They can make use of these fantastic facilities for a very small
fee! What many don't realise is that being listed in our
user friendly Medical directory will give them outstanding exposure
in comparison to a lone site on its own out there in cyber space!
To all those people who are interested in reading about the
services Doctors and Specialists as well as Chemists provide,
please always look for this button
at the bottom of their listing or look for the Enlarged listings
link in the left column of each page on each of our city sites.

Hello Everyone,
Well
my how time passes! Here I am dragging my feet again with this
posting. So much has been happening these past few weeks so the
Notice Board has been put on hold till now. I have had two trips
interstate to attend to my aged Father who is 97 - coming up for
98 in September!
And the rest of the staff at Doctors4U® have been just so
busy during my absence. Before I move on I would like to thank
Dr Treplin of the Tasmanian Eye Clinic in Hobart, his wonderful
staff and also the Staff at the Day Surgery Centre in Warneford
Street, South Hobart. Dr Treplin recently did some laser work
on one of my Dad's eyes and a cataract removal on the other. My
Dad is now seeing better than ever and seeing things he hasn't
seen for years. The change is absolutely remarkable. Dr Treplin
and his Staff have all been so kind, considerate and understanding
to my Dad during these procedures, and as we all know when one
is not feeling 100% it is just so important to ones feelings to
receive a little bit of empathy. We cannot praise them too highly.
As a matter of interest Tasmanian Eye Clinics have their own Web
site and you can see the services they provide by Clicking
here
Our
site is becoming more and more popular month by month and the
requests we receive never ceases to amaze us. We have had e-mail's
from all over the world - some looking for Colleagues they have
trained with, others looking for Plastic Surgeons, and many
for help with their Medical problems. Even one today from England
who is quite prepared to travel to Australia if we felt they
could be helped by any of our wonderful health professionals.
I must re-iterate here though, please folks remember, we cannot
give Medical advice! We do mention this on our main home page
and in other various areas throughout our sites, however we
continue to to receive many requests. Please - remember, be
guided by your Doctor or other Health Professional.
I
must also mention the possible delay in replying to some general
e-mail enquiries. Please understand that our paying clients
have to take precedence. We are averag
