- Breast
Screen Assessment
Provides free breast screening and follow up assessment services for
women in the target age group (50-69 years). Women aged 40 and over
are also eligible to attend.

of Support Services
A range of support services are available in each state and territory
through the respective cancer councils. Your doctor, specialist or local
hospital may also be able to provide you with information about specific
support services.

to talk with someone who has had an experience with Cancer?
Many women find it helpful and reassuring to talk to someone who has
had a similar experience with cancer and can discuss the issues - both
practical and emotional - from personal experience.
The Breast Cancer Support Service (BCSS) is a national program, coordinated
by state and territory Cancer Councils, that provides practical and
emotional support to women with breast cancer. It provides women with
the opportunity to discuss their experience of breast cancer with other
women who have had breast cancer. Click

developing better and more effective ways of beating breast cancer.
The National Surgical Audit for Breast Cancer has been developed by
the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
