The John Flynn Gold Coast Private Hospital has been operating for the past nine years, and has established a strong reputation for quality care. With 274 beds, the hospital has around 25,000 admissions each year and services an area across State lines, with 50% of patients from northern NSW and 50% from Queensland's Gold Coast area.

The major focus of the hospital is cardiology, a high area of need and growth for the community. The Gold Coast has twice the national average of over-65s, and the hospital has strongly aimed its services at the needs of this population.John Flynn was the first hospital on the Gold Coast to provide cardiac surgery, and its 56-bed cardiac unit is the largest cardiac unit between Brisbane and Newcastle.

Cancer-related disease is another key hospital focus, with a 30-bed oncology ward, 10-chair day chemotherapy capability, and the only radiotherapy unit between Brisbane and Newcastle.Other facilities include: a birthing suite (all with spas for water births), orthopaedic surgery, and a renal dialysis unit which opened in October 2002 and can cater to the treatment needs of visitors to the area.

All accommodation at John Flynn is in private rooms with ensuite bathrooms. And few would be disappointed with the views - either over the ocean or across the Gold Coast hinterland.The mission of the hospital is to provide superior outcomes of patient care and always exceed patient expectations.
